Statement of Support for Asian and AAPI Communities

UCWVA members continue to grieve the murders of Delaina Ashley Yaun, Xiaojie Tan, Daoyou Feng, Julie Park, Hyeon Jeong Park, Paul Andre Michels, and two more as yet unnamed victims in Atlanta. We stand in solidarity with Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander communities and condemn all forms of anti-Asian and anti-AAPI racism, xenophobia, and misogyny.

We commit to fight even harder to dismantle white supremacy and build a society that ensures racial justice, migrant justice, justice for sex workers, and the liberation of all oppressed people. Building a strong labor union and labor movement that fights for social justice in and out of the workplace is one critical thing all of us can do to build the power necessary to win justice.
